About Me:
Art Carson is Director of NM Commercial Real Estate where he oversees the daily business and marketing activity of the company, with all commercial affiliations reporting directly to him.
Known as a “people person,” Art began his exceptional career in 1968, as a Professional Golfer in the Southern Maryland area, and in 1970, he was unanimously elected Vice President of the Northern Chapter of the Middle Atlantic Professional Golfers Association.
In 1982, Art entered management as Director of Sweetwater Country Club in Houston, Texas, where he also served as liaison for the LPGA of America, whose home base remains at Sweetwater.
In 1987, Art joined First Annapolis Savings Bank as Vice President of Commercial Lending for Southern Maryland, a position that allowed him to develop a vast network of commercial business connections in the area. Then, in 1992, Art began his commercial real estate career, working with national brokers and franchise representatives while continuing to maintain strong relationships with Middle Atlantic region brokers. Through this position, Art has serviced large corporations for site location and small business owners for lease negotiation and site identification.
Currently, Art is a member of the Solomons Business Association and the International Council of Shopping Centers. He also maintains a life membership with the Professional Golfers Association. On a personal level, Art enjoys traveling with his wife, Anne, on global humanitarian missions, their latest venture of which was to Cuba
